A 57-year-old government official has been arrested for allegedly raping a six-year-old Dalit girl and committing bestiality with a goat in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr, according to media reports.
The survivor’s family stated that the accused, identified as Gajendra Singh, frequently visited the village for official work. On Monday, he entered their house when he saw the girl playing in the courtyard with a neighbor’s child, with no adults present.
Shockingly, the entire incident, including the rape and the act of bestiality, was recorded on a mobile phone by the neighbor’s child, who is of a similar age to the victim.
Officials confirmed that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the heinous crime, and the accused has been suspended from his duties. The state government has also announced financial assistance of Rs. 8.25 lakh for the girl’s family.
Police officials revealed that Singh, a resident of Rasoolpur village, was posted as the Agriculture Development Officer (Agriculture Protection) in the Shikarpur block. On Monday evening, he visited a village under the Ahmedgarh police station area, where he saw the girl and the boy playing in the courtyard. He then sat on a cot nearby.
Around 5 pm on Monday, Singh entered the girl’s house. The family was acquainted with him, and he took advantage of their absence to commit the crimes. After raping the girl, he proceeded to have unnatural sex with a goat that was tied nearby. The entire act was captured on the boy’s phone.
Singh has been arrested, and a departmental inquiry has been initiated against him. The police are conducting a thorough investigation to ensure justice for the victim and her family.
