At the launch of her forthcoming film Emergency, where she steps into the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Kangana Ranaut shared her desire to collaborate with Bollywood legends Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. She revealed her ambition to not only direct but also produce a film that would showcase their hidden artistic talents, which she believes have been underutilized in their careers.
In a candid moment, Kangana expressed, “It would be a dream to direct and produce a film starring all three Khans. They have so much more to offer than what we’ve seen, and I want to bring out their full potential, combining entertainment with a meaningful message for society. The influence they have is immense, and I think they could contribute so much more beyond just box office success.”
Reflecting on her missed opportunities, she added, “I deeply regret not having the chance to direct Irrfan Khan. He was one of my absolute favorites, and his loss is something I feel profoundly.”
Kangana also touched on the challenges she has faced in the industry, acknowledging the difficulties of being sidelined. She noted that standing by her has been difficult for others in the industry, yet she remains undeterred in her creative pursuits.
Emergency, which delves into the historical period of the 1975 Emergency in India, is set to hit theaters on September 6th, 2024.
