AI City: A Major Landmark

A standout feature of the summit was the announcement of an AI City, a flagship project set to be developed on 200 acres near Hyderabad. This AI City will include a state-of-the-art advisory council and high-performance computing data centers, positioning Telangana as a hub for AI innovation.

The summit also saw the signing of 26 MOUs across various sectors. Notable partnerships include:

  • Meta, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads: Collaborating on advancing e-governance solutions.
  • PATH and Nazara Technologies: Establishing Centers of Excellence (COEs) for critical and emerging AI sectors.
  • NxtWave, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft: Focusing on skill enhancement and education.
  • YOTTA: Providing GPU-based cloud infrastructure for over 250,000 students and professionals.
  • Nvidia and Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL): Setting up an AI Research Lab to improve governance services.
  • Uber, Swecha, and JNTU: Partnering on data annotation projects.

Innovative AI Solutions

The summit featured numerous innovative AI solutions from startups and students. Civil engineering students from CBIT showcased an AI-powered solution for Musi Riverfront Development, utilizing drones for waste removal and monitoring. HC Robotics presented an AI model for surveillance in crowds, demonstrating the practical applications of AI technology.

Futurist Peter Diamandis praised Telangana’s ethical approach to AI, noting the importance of morality in the age of advanced technology. He highlighted the potential of AI to drive substantial growth and emphasized the need for thoughtful consideration of its impacts on society.
