On August 21, 2024, iQOO introduced its latest smartphones in India—the iQOO Z9s Pro 5G and iQOO Z9s 5G. Along with these smartphones, the Chinese tech company also unveiled its first set of earbuds, the iQOO TWS 1e, which are priced at ₹1,899. The earbuds offer a notable 42-hour battery life and active noise cancellation (ANC) of up to 30dB.
The iQOO Z9s series is equipped with a 6.77-inch 3D curved AMOLED display, featuring a 120 Hz refresh rate. The iQOO Z9s Pro 5G boasts a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, while the iQOO Z9s 5G offers up to 1,800 nits. Both models come with SCHOTT Xensation UP Glass protection on the front.
These devices carry an IP64 rating, making them resistant to dust and water.
Both smartphones in the iQOO Z9s series pack a 5,500 mAh battery. The iQOO Z9s Pro 5G comes with an 80W charger, whereas the iQOO Z9s 5G includes a 44W charger in the box.
The iQOO Z9s Pro 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, while the iQOO Z9s 5G features the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. The series also supports virtual RAM expansion up to 12 GB.
These devices run on FunTouch OS 14, based on Android 14, and come with two years of Android updates and three years of security updates.
Camera-wise, both smartphones feature a 50 MP Sony IMX882 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The iQOO Z9s Pro 5G is also equipped with an 8 MP ultrawide lens, while the iQOO Z9s 5G includes a 2 MP bokeh sensor. Both models have a 16 MP front-facing camera. Additionally, the iQOO Z9s 5G includes a smart aura light for added functionality.
The pricing for the iQOO Z9s Pro starts at ₹24,999 for the 8 GB+128 GB variant, ₹26,999 for the 8 GB+256 GB variant, and ₹28,999 for the 12 GB+256 GB variant. It will be available from August 23 in Luxe Marble and Flamboyant Orange color options.
On the other hand, the iQOO Z9s 5G is priced at ₹19,999 for the 8 GB+128 GB variant, ₹21,999 for the 8 GB+256 GB variant, and ₹23,999 for the 12 GB+256 GB variant. It will be available from August 29 in Onyx Green and Titanium Matte color variants.
