Rekha Gupta Sworn In as Delhi CM: Meet the 6 Cabinet Ministers

New Delhi, February 20, 2025 – In a grand ceremony held at Ramlila Maidan, Rekha Gupta took oath as the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Alongside her, six prominent BJP leaders were sworn in as cabinet ministers. The event was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries.

The Six Cabinet Ministers:

Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma: Known for his strong Jat presence in Delhi politics, Verma gained fame after defeating AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency by a margin of 4,089 votes. He previously served as an MP from West Delhi from 2014 to 2024.

Kapil Mishra: Mishra won the Karawal Nagar seat by defeating AAP’s Manoj Kumar Tyagi with a significant margin of 23,355 votes. He had previously served in AAP but joined BJP after being removed from his post due to allegations against Satyendar Jain.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa: Sirsa marked his comeback by winning the Rajouri Garden seat with over an 18,000-vote margin against AAP’s Dhanwati Chandela.

Ashish Sood: A prominent leader and co-incharge for Jammu and Kashmir BJP affairs, Sood defeated AAP’s Parveen Kumar in Janakpuri with a substantial lead of nearly 19,000 votes.

Pankaj Kumar Singh: A dentist by profession and son of former MCD leader Raja Mohan Singh, Pankaj won his first assembly election from Vikaspuri against AAP’s Mahinder Yadav with almost a 13,000-vote difference.

Ravinder Indraj Singh: As a Dalit face for BJP’s SC Morcha in Delhi politics, Ravinder secured victory over AAP’s Jai Bhagwan Upkar from Bawana with more than a 31,000-vote margin.

These ministers bring diverse backgrounds and experiences to their roles within the new government under CM Rekha Gupta’s leadership.
