Police Busts Major Sex Racket in Delhi

The Central District Police has busted a high-profile sex racket that used Rapido bike bookings to send girls to clients. After conducting raids over the past three days, the police have arrested 22 girls and seven pimps involved in the racket. Some of the rescued girls are foreign nationals.

Police Raids Continue

The main accused, Nazim and Rehan, have been taken into custody. However, Deputy Commissioner of Police M. Harshvardhan stated that it is too early to reveal more details about the gang. The police are continuously conducting raids to catch the remaining suspects, after which a full disclosure of the racket will be made.

How the Racket Operated: Photos Sent First, Deals Finalized Later

Senior police officials revealed that intelligence was received regarding an active prostitution ring in the Paharganj area. Investigations showed that when someone searched for online sex services, certain phone numbers would appear. When contacted, photos of young women were shared with the clients, and rates were negotiated accordingly.

Six Foreign Women Found in Two Hotels

Following this information, different police teams conducted raids in multiple locations. In two hotels in Chuna Mandi, Paharganj, the police rescued six foreign women. Later, 16 more women were found. Along with the seven pimps, the police believe that Nazim and Rehan were the masterminds behind the operation.

Bikes Used to Transport Girls to Clients

Investigations revealed that the racket would first send pictures of the girls to potential clients. Once a client selected a girl, she was sent via a Rapido bike booking to the given location. The police are currently interrogating the arrested suspects, but senior officials are yet to make detailed statements about the case.
