The CBI has accused Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata, of intentionally avoiding the crime scene during a crucial investigation. According to the CBI’s submission to the court, Ghosh did not closely monitor the process and only arrived at the hospital after the police and homicide officers were already present. The investigation also revealed suspicious phone calls made by Ghosh, leading to concerns that he may have been acting under external orders.
The CBI suspects tampering at the crime scene and has interrogated Ghosh multiple times regarding his actions following the incident. Ghosh claims he took prompt steps, such as forming a three-member medical board and informing the health department, but the CBI continues to probe his involvement.
