New York – On the last day of his three-day visit to the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in New York on Monday (local time). This marked their third meeting in three months, following Modi’s visit to Ukraine just a month ago. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the meeting was held at Ukraine’s request, and the two leaders engaged in a detailed discussion. Strengthening Bilateral Ties
Before departing for New Delhi, PM Modi emphasized that India is committed to implementing the outcomes of his recent visit to Ukraine. In his social media post, he wrote, “Met President Zelensky in New York. We are committed to implementing the outcomes of my visit to Ukraine last month to strengthen our bilateral relations. India reiterated its support for the early resolution of the conflict in Ukraine and the restoration of peace and stability.”

In a video shared by ANI, PM Modi and Zelensky were seen warmly greeting each other, along with Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, who was also present during the meeting. PM Modi reiterated his longstanding advocacy for peace, stating that he had engaged with numerous world leaders who agree that the war must end and a peaceful resolution must be found.
