Raghubar Das Returns to BJP, Grand Welcome in Ranchi as He Prepares to Rejoin the Party

Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das, who recently resigned from his position as the Governor of Odisha, has returned to Ranchi, where he was welcomed with great enthusiasm by BJP workers. The grand reception at Birsa Munda Airport included flowers, garlands, and a large crowd of supporters, including BJP members from Jamshedpur. The scene at the airport was temporarily chaotic due to the overwhelming turnout. Raghubar Das took time to interact with party workers and leaders for around 15 minutes before heading to his official residence in Dhurwa.

Das is expected to rejoin the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday and officially take back his party membership. Before taking up the gubernatorial position, he had resigned from BJP due to constitutional constraints, which prevented him from maintaining his party affiliation. The party office has been preparing for his re-entry, although an official confirmation of the event is still awaited.

A Special Promise Fulfilled

Before leaving Bhubaneswar, Raghubar Das fulfilled a promise he had made to the people of Jharkhand. He took 1,000 tribal children from Jharkhand on a tour of the Odisha Raj Bhavan, a visit he had pledged to make possible. The children, hailing from tribal communities in Jharkhand, were from KIIT and KISS institutions. In his social media post, Das shared how he had promised to show the Raj Bhavan to these children, encouraging them to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals.

During the visit, Das motivated the children by telling them that success comes only through dedicated efforts and that they should always strive for their goals with determination.

BJP’s Anticipated Political Strategy

Raghubar Das’s return to BJP is expected to significantly impact the state’s political dynamics. His rejoining comes just ahead of important elections and could prove beneficial for BJP’s prospects in Jharkhand. As the former CM, his leadership is expected to boost the party’s presence and energy. On Friday, after his return to Ranchi, he will likely hold meetings with party leaders and finalize his reintegration into BJP.

Das’s political journey, which includes his stint as a state leader and governor, has now come full circle with his anticipated return to the party that he once led in Jharkhand. The future of his political career remains a subject of intense interest among local political observers.
