Market Shut Down, Demands for Arrest

The Incident: Attack on Religious Procession
The stone pelting occurred during the Jaljhulani Ekadashi procession, which was being taken out from the fort in Jahazpur. As the procession reached a particular point, a group of individuals suddenly began throwing stones at it. MLA Gopichand Meena Stages Sit-In
Upon learning of the incident, MLA Gopichand Meena arrived at the scene and joined the injured individuals in a sit-in protest near the Kalyanji Temple. The protesters demanded the immediate arrest of those involved in the stone-pelting incident. To voice their protest, participants began reciting the “Sundar Kand” and “Hanuman Chalisa.” In response to the escalating situation, Deputy SP Ajit Singh Meghwanshi, SHO Narpat Ram Bana, and a large contingent of police force were deployed to the scene. Currently, the situation is reported to be under control.
Nine People Detained So Far
Shahpura SP Rajesh Kanwat reported that nine individuals have been identified and detained in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and more people will be detained if their involvement is established.
