UP Shocker: BJP Leader Shoots Wife and Three Children Over Suspicion; Calls Police to Confess

A horrifying incident took place in Sangatherda village of Gangoh, Saharanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, where BJP leader Yogesh Rohila shot his wife and three children with his licensed pistol. The children—Shraddha (8), Devansh (7), and Shivansh (4)—succumbed to their injuries, while his wife Neha (32) is battling for her life at a medical college.

Rohila himself called the police and informed them about the crime. Upon investigation, it was revealed that he suspected his wife of infidelity, which led him to commit this heinous act.

Gunshots Echoed Through the House

Yogesh Rohila, a district committee member of the BJP, returned home around 1:30 PM, locked himself in a room, and shortly after, multiple gunshots were heard. His aunt Meena and other family members, who were in another part of the house, rushed to knock on the door.

‘I Have Shot My Wife and Kids’

When Rohila opened the door, he reportedly announced in a loud voice, “I have shot my wife and children.” The family members rushed inside to find all four victims lying in a pool of blood. Shraddha had already passed away, while Neha and the two boys were struggling for their lives. All had gunshot wounds to their heads.

During this time, the accused also called SSP, CO, and the police station in-charge, confessing to the crime.

‘I Will Kill Myself Too, Come Quickly’

“I will shoot myself too. Please come quickly,” Rohila told the police officers on the phone. SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan and SP Dehat Sagar Jain immediately rushed to the spot, where the accused was arrested. His licensed pistol was also seized.

The injured were rushed to the district hospital, but Shivansh and Devansh succumbed to their injuries. Neha was later referred to a medical college for further treatment.

‘The Kids Took Their Mother’s Side, So I Killed Them Too’

During interrogation, Rohila justified his actions by saying that his children always supported their mother during arguments. “Whenever we fought, the kids would say, ‘Papa, you are wrong; Mummy is right.’ That is why I shot them too,” he told the police.

No Regret on His Face

Despite committing such a gruesome crime, Rohila showed no signs of remorse during his arrest. Preliminary investigations suggest that he was under severe mental stress.

The case has shocked the entire region, raising concerns about mental health awareness, domestic violence, and gun control laws in the country. The police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
